Charles’ Corner: Basic Types of Violations
Wrecked, dismantled and unregistered vehicles NOT in an enclosed structure are a violation of our city code. Another violation is parking any vehicle in your yard or on unpaved areas for long periods of time.
It’s a violation of our city code to have dead or decaying trees and tree limbs that present a safety hazard to the public or to abutting property owners. Bags of unsightly yard waste that remain visible on your property can be classified as violations too.
It is a violation of city code to keep junk outdoors on the street, lot or premises. Junk can be anything from old appliances, boxes, tires, scrap metal or broken items that should go to the junkyard.
Graffiti on your property must be removed or painted over within ten days of its appearance. If you paint over it, we will give you a voucher for 1 gallon of paint of your choice.
